Indigenous Wellness Wednesday

Indigenous Wellness Wednesday began in March of 2021 as a way to foster wellness, connection and community for First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. The IWW community has been growing since then – each week folks gather virtually to share a meal, check in and participate in a wellness activity!! A wide diversity of wellness activities – Elder teachings, breathwork and yoga, beadwork and medicine pouch making, journal writing, home gardening, Indigenous comedy night and so so so much more!

This project is so important – IWW is harm reduction, suicide prevention, lateral liberation and kindness. Indigenous youth participants of other VIDEA projects have this space to connect with their peers, mentors and Elders.
