Gender Safety Policy

The objective of this policy proposal is to create a safe and equitable resources and workspaces for people of all genders expressions, ultimately contributing to inclusive work cultures. People of all genders may be at risk of, or impacted by intimate partner violence. This policy is highlighting the necessity to be explicit with inclusion of and for queer and transgender individuals in particular those who may have experienced and/or witnessed, intimate partner violence. Gender discrimination often leads to barriers for women, it also impacts gender diverse people and needs to be addressed explicitly according to increased likelihood of gender diverse peoples willingness, and ability to access appropriate care, to ensure they are safe and taken care of. This policy promotes accessibility for everyone in the workspace and focuses on including gender diverse folks explicitly as part of the conversation
